Which part of the project is this related to?

Survival

Detailed description of the idea (1 idea - 1 submission)

When you find a treasure chest in ships or elsewhere and opening it causes lag, this can be solved by letting the player specify what items will be found in that chest. This results in a smaller selection, but should reduce the lag caused and keep players satisfied.

To which server would you like to receive the reward?

And what if we made the generation of these chests during the actual Survival world generation, maybe it wouldn't cause lag issues anymore

I don't think it would happen that way. As far as I understand, the lag occurs because when opening at that moment, you have too little time to select from many existing items what to put into the chest.

But if everything was prepared in advance with selected items or generated, it shouldn't occur.

That's not how it works. The lag occurs because it has to scan several hundred thousand chunks per tick, causing the entire server to just freeze. And if it can't find the generated chunks, it starts generating them. Which freezes not only the server but absolutely the entire project. The consequences are felt everywhere.
