How to became Kaimux project administrator
You need to go through several steps to become one of us.
- Pass the test.
- Pass a personal assessment.
- Get approval from other administrators.
The steps are sequential and ongoing. If you pass the test, then a personal assessment awaits. If we have nothing to complain about, the next step is to check the opinions of other administrators about you. You can be accepted if you pass both of these and the project owner does not veto this decision.
Test
The test consists of 50 questions, some of which are about the mechanics of regular Minecraft and most of which are about the specifics of the Kaimux project. It is certainly not easy, but you can find out all the answers to the questions simply by playing on all the project servers and thinking logically.
Why do I have to play on all servers?
Since our administration cannot, at least at this time, specialize in only certain servers, we have to help players on any of them. Therefore, it is logical that we need to be familiar with all of these servers.
What is that logic for?
If a person does not think logically, or critically, or is not observant, it can be very difficult for them to fit in as an administrator and generally perform their job properly.
How do I get answers?
Play, and observe the administration and its actions, don't ask the administration to tell you the answers.
Why can't I ask?
We, as the administration, can see what the players are asking. If it is obvious that the player wants to find out all the answers with the help of administrators or other players, this indicates that the person has poor problem-solving skills (an example from school - a student constantly does not do his homework himself, but copies from others). Which, again, is not good for that candidate.
What to do if you don't succeed the first time?
Try every day until you succeed. Persistence is commendable.
Personal assessment
The personal assessment consists of your form and a review of your actions.
Form
It consists of fairly simple and clear questions, but from them, you can form an initial opinion about the candidate.
A sample form is not provided, as it used to be in the Discord channel when the selection was still held there. It is not provided because candidates like to copy the sample version and more or less adapt it for themselves. Although there have been cases when the submitted form was practically identical to the sample questionnaire.
When a candidate simply copies the thoughts written by another person, again, this shows the poor creativity of that candidate. Logically, if a person is unable to answer the questions neatly according to the requirements, it is not beneficial for him/her.
Lying in a form is a bad idea. We can easily check most of the answers. If we see that you are lying, a “red flag” immediately rises and the decision for the candidate is practically clear.
Evaluation of actions
First, some of your form answers are checked. For example, whether you play in our project for as long as you write, whether you haven't been punished during the specified time, whether you have a legal account, and so on.
Then, your communication with the administration and all the players in the project is checked.
What you do in our project in general is checked.
If you are rejected at this stage, you will receive a comment after the form about what got in the way this time.
Can I try again?
Yes, of course. As soon as you correct the questions mentioned in the comment.
If you create a new form without correcting it, the steps will be the same and (most likely) the result will be the same.
Approval from other administrators
Although this is (usually) not teamwork, you are applying to be part of a team. Therefore, it is logical that there should be no objections from other administrators regarding your joining. This is necessary because if administrators start to disagree with each other, get angry, argue, etc., not only will the quality of your work as an administrator suffer, but you will also get on the nerves of the Project Owners. This is not in everyone's interest, because in this case (perhaps not of their own free will) someone will have to leave the team. To avoid this, it is better to insure yourself immediately.
