Make it so other players cannot create their plot right next to another player's plot, for example, there should be at least 25-100 blocks distance between two plots (or somehow with mutual consent it could be closer)
Since friends may want to place their plots next to each other, implementing such an idea is not possible. A rule exists that prevents this, and the administration will delete the plot if this issue arises.
