Translations
Some time ago, when connecting to any Kaimux server, all notes, messages, holograms, etc. could be seen in Lithuanian. Logically, it is a Lithuanian server.
However, now that we have decided to sail into wider waters (international market), Lithuanian messages are no longer suitable. Foreign players do not understand anything when they connect. For this reason, a function was created that allows you to change the language.
Currently, Kaimux servers support 9 languages (Lithuanian, English, Russian, German, Polish, French, Italian, Spanish, and Turkish). However, since the project administration does not speak most of these languages, we can only make translations using certain AI (artificial intelligence) translators.
With the current messages, which are already translated with the help of AI, there is such a problem that the translations are not accurate, they contain spelling, punctuation, style, or even color errors. This is where your help is needed, as players of the Kaimux project.
On our website, right under the logo, there is a Translations section, where you can see all server messages translated into the languages mentioned above. If you find an error in a message or want to contribute to the well-being of the project, you can correct our messages.
How does message translation work?
When you open the page, you can select the language from the list whose translation you want to correct.
After selecting, a list of messages appears below, 10 per page.
There is a search field above the table. If you enter a word in it, it will find its equivalent in the messages of your chosen language.
The first column of the table is the key (message path), according to which the message is saved and later the system finds that message before presenting it to the players on the server.
The second column contains a message in page language (Lithuanian or English).
The third column is the current translation (often bad) of each message into the language of your choice. You can edit messages in this column.
What to do after updating a message?
After each change, your updated message is listed in the Made changes table below.
The same key, your chosen translation language, and your translated/edited message are visible.
When you are finished editing messages, you need to save your progress. You can do this by selecting the server you want to receive the credits reward for and clicking the Save button.
We recommend saving your progress regularly because if, for example, your internet connection goes down and the page reloads, you will lose your progress (which is not saved) and will have to edit your messages again.
History
The last table on this page is the history of your edits. Here you can see the messages you have updated, the languages you have edited, and the status of each of your edits, which can be Pending, Accepted, or Rejected.
Confirmation
To protect against such cases where players maliciously submit false messages, corrupt them, etc., each message you submit must be approved by the Operator or, if nonsense is written, rejected.
If you have to wait a long time for confirmations of translations, remind the Operator about it directly.
Reward
There are about 6500 messages in total. And so on for each language. Updating one message - 1 credit to your chosen server. This means that, theoretically, if you translate all the messages in one language, you would have enough credits to take the most expensive service of one server (for example, the Master service on the Survival server) for 3 months from the credit store.
Note
Credits are awarded when the Operator approves your translation/correction. Of course, if the message is not correct, the translation/correction of that message will be rejected and you will not receive any more credit for it.
Also, for duplicate corrections, only the first correction is awarded. What does this mean?
For example, several players correct the same message and then both wait for approval. If the first player's correction is incorrect, it is rejected and then the second player's translation is checked. Again, it is accepted or rejected accordingly.
However, if the first player's translation is correct and is approved, the second player's translation is automatically rejected (regardless of whether it is good or bad). Why is this so?
After approving a new message, it is saved to the system and if that message is found again in the translations, it will already be corrected. So there is no need to correct it (most often).
Incorrect translations
When your translations or message corrections are rejected:
- No spaces
- Spaces out of place
- Too many spaces
- No color codes
- Color codes out of place
- Invalid color codes
- Too many color codes
- Invalid translation
- Translation contains offensive words
